Venue Hire

Why MakeSpace?

MakeSpace is the perfect venue for small gatherings, centred around creativity, care and connection.

We can host up to 25 people (depending on how you wish to use the space). We are conveniently located within walking distance of two train stations connecting Manchester, Stockport, Sheffield and Buxton and close to affordable car parking. We also benefit from close proximity to beautiful walks and nature, including The Torrs Riverside Park, Mousley Bottom and the Peak Forest Canal.

MakeSpace offers flexible spaces for different needs.

The Studio - this space was designed primarily as a creative space for arts and crafting and is the creative studio of @that_colourful_creator. Perfect for creative workshops of up to 8 people.

The Space - the largest of the spaces, this remains flexible to accommodate everything from yoga, sound baths, art workshops, photoshoots, cacao ceremonies, sharing circles… the options are endless.

The Sheds - originally used as storage, these spaces have been transformed into the perfect place to make Big Messy Art. Think spray painting, big canvasses & paint splatter. Only operational in Summer.

The Courtyard - an outdoor space for gathering, enjoying some fresh air or sitting in the sunshine. (Note: MakeSpace is a no smoking and alcohol-free space but please enjoy an ‘al fresco’ brew on us!)

Loo - there is a single toilet for everyone to use, complete with toiletries and sanitary products available to anyone who needs them. We have a separate sink/washing up area, both of which require a few steps outside the main building.
